Cross-Cultural Training

I provide consulting services to organizations, including program development in cross-cultural transitions for corporations, schools, and not for profit agencies. I have worked with issues of expatriation and repatriation for several years with both men and women. My experience provides me with unique insights into working with the challenges experienced by expatriates and repatriates.

It is estimated that over 25% of expatriate assignments fail, resulting in expatriate executives and their families returning home early, and at least 25% of repatriated employees leave the company that posted them overseas within one year of repatriation. Successful cross-cultural transitions of expatriate employees and their accompanying partners has been found to reduce this financial and human capital loss to corporations. To stem this loss to corporations, I have created a theoretically based group program that provides expatriates and their accompanying partners with a supportive framework to successfully navigate expatriation and repatriation, create an awareness of a global identity, and assist in understanding the psychological impact of cross-cultural transitions.

I am also available to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTIŽ), a powerful and versatile indicator of personality type. It is the most trusted and widely used assessment in the world for understanding individual personality. This tool is widely used for career direction; team building; individual, group and organizational development; and enhancing understanding of cultural differences.
